Will My Retirement Accounts Be Protected After I Die?

transcript

You can make sure that your retirement will be protected after you die much the same way that we protect assets that you’re leaving for your kids just in general from creditors and lawsuits and divorcing spouses.

You can protect your retirement assets from your kids future creditors and lawsuits and divorcing spouses it does require a special kind of trust to be set up once you have that trust set up.

You can make sure that if your kids ever run into creditor issues as adults or if they ever get sued or if they get married and then they get divorced that that money can’t go to a creditor or someone who’s suing them or to a future divorcing ex spouse but you’ve got to have the trust you got to have the plan and the trust set up the right way it doesn’t happen automatically just by naming your kids as beneficiaries of your retirement accounts
