PARALEGAL
Are you an experienced Paralegal who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, parents, and families?
We are looking for our next, great estate planning Paralegal – someone who shares our passion for estate planning for younger families, cares deeply about making sure that children are protected and cared for by the people their parents want no matter what, is committed to creating an amazing client experience, and has the ability to be a calming and comforting presence for clients during a potentially anxious time.

The Parents Estate Planning Law Firm is a fast-growing estate planning law firm in Acton, MA, focused on the unique estate planning needs of both young families and empty nesters. We provide exceptional client service in the areas of kids protection planning, wills, trusts, estates, and asset protection.
To be a successful candidate for this position, you will have 2-4 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably with some estate planning background.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Connect with clients via email and phone to share and collect documents and information, updating client database.
- Prepare planning and funding documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Put the client at ease, ensure they are being well taken care of by sending status reports and taking calls in a timely manner.
- Analyze and review client’s assets and properly transfer them to their Trust by creating necessary financial institution forms and document packages for clients.
- Communicate with outside contractors, financial advisors, and financial institutions to ensure that planning deadlines are met.
- Ensure Attorneys are prepared for the week ahead and that everything needed for a signing meeting is prepared and in office prior to signing.
- Prepare binder for delivery to client, making sure all documents are explained properly and any non-legal questions are answered regarding final binder.
- Prepare our unique Kids Protection Plan for all clients with children under the age of 18.
- Provide stellar service – think Ritz Carlton – to our clients.
- Update and create checklists for Standard Operating Procedures as your work evolves.
- Create and update reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly staff meetings.
- Participates in weekly team meetings with owners, staff, and attorneys.
SALARY:
$56,000

We are looking for a Senior Associate – someone who shares our passion for estate planning for younger families cares deeply about making sure that children are protected and cared for by the people their parents want no matter what, and is committed to creating an amazing client experience, and has the ability to be a calming and comforting presence for clients during a potentially anxious time.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in creating, drafting, and implementing comprehensive trust-based estate plans. You should also have an interest in stepping out into the community to network. In addition, you should have an interest in conducting webinars and lives seminars to educate parents about the need for planning.
- 6+ years of Estate Planning experience
- Has a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Massachusetts Bar License require
- New Hampshire Bar License a plus
- Experience drafting asset-based trusts
- Financial asset protection planning
- Wealth planning experience
- Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving to serve clients better and more efficiently
- MS Office required

LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL

Our busy law firm is looking for an efficient, organized, and detail-oriented legal administrative assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients as they create a plan for their future. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, work with financial advisors to ensure our client’s assets are properly transferred to their trust, proofread, and complete various tasks associated with finalizing estate plans. If you have experience in a professional services environment, work well under pressure, have strong customer service skills and attention to detail, and are looking for a rewarding opportunity in the legal industry, we want to connect with you.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working in a professional office setting.
- Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs
- Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
- Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary
- 1-2 years experience in a professional office environment such as financial services, banking, or law firm
- Strong attention to detail
- Paralegal certificate a plus
