We are looking for an Estate Planning Attorney – someone who shares our passion for estate planning for younger families, cares deeply about making sure that children are protected and cared for by the people their parents want no matter what, is committed to creating an amazing client experience, and has the ability to be a calming and comforting presence for clients during a potentially anxious time.

The Parents Estate Planning Law Firm is a fast-growing estate planning law firm in Acton, MA, focused on the unique estate planning needs of both young families and empty nesters. We provide exceptional client service in the areas of kid’s protection planning, wills, trusts, estates, and asset protection.

To be a successful candidate for this position, you will have 3-6 years of experience in creating, drafting, and implementing comprehensive trust-based estate plans, and an interest in stepping out into the community and educating parents about the need for planning.

Responsibilities

  • You will meet with clients and prospective new clients and provide a positive and confidential experience.

  • You will research and analyze complex legal issues relating to estate planning and trust and estate administration.

  • You will design and draft comprehensive estate planning and trust documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts.

  • You will help parents develop comprehensive guardianship plans for their minor children.

  • You will present educational workshops and webinars to the community, which could involve after-hour events.

  • You will meet and network with other professionals to develop cross-referral opportunities.

  • You will supervise and delegate work to Paralegals and Legal Assistants to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

  • You will work directly with the Firm owner and the legal team to develop and modify processes and procedures that ensure a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • You have the exceptional communication and problem-solving skills needed to work directly with our clients and with all levels of our staff.

  • You have 3 – 6 years of estate planning experience.

  • You have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

  • You are admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

  • If you are also admitted to practice in New Hampshire, that is a strong plus.

  • You have experience designing and drafting comprehensive estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts.

  • You have experience with asset protection planning.

  • If you have experience with trust and estate administration, that is a strong plus.

  • You are adept at working in Windows and Microsoft Office environments.

  • If you have experience drafting estate plans on a software-based platform (especially Adapt or Wealth Docx), that is a strong plus.

  • You take personal responsibility for all areas of your life.

Compensation

$125,000 – $140,000 per year, based on your level of experience and expertise. This position is bonus eligible.
