Happy 2017! For our first post of the new year, we looked back on our work together in 2016. It sure felt like a monumental year: after moving into our new offices, (this time last January- you might remember the video tour), we’ve met so many families and developed so many new relationships. But, even we were blown away when we looked at 2016 “by-the-numbers.”
This past year, we worked with people in 35 Massachusetts cities and towns, held and sponsored 59 events, workshops, and webinars to educate parents, helped 87 new families plan for the unexpected, and protected 150 precious children.
It seems the word is getting out about how quick and easy putting together a comprehensive estate plan for your family can be. (Thank you clients, friends and partners for talking about us!) For some, however, the subject of planning for the unthinkable is still tough to broach. Even those who’ve seen first-hand how important it is, may struggle when starting the conversation with their friends and loved ones.
It’s our goal to give those people the tools needed to make sharing this critical information that much easier. January and its New Year’s resolutions are a pretty universal theme, and are a great place to begin.
Watch our latest Facebook Live video to learn how to check estate planning off your own list in the new year. If you missed our article in Get Local Magazine, “How to Make Estate Planning the One New Year’s Resolution you Keep this Year”, check it out for a guide you can use when talking to the other parents in your life. Events and workshops are another great way to get the conversation rolling, and we have two coming up. See our upcoming events here.
If you’re ready to craft your estate plan and fulfill this resolution, we invite you to come into our office for a two-hour Family Wealth Planning Session to review your plan, free of charge. Simply call Client Services Director, Paula, at 978-263-6900 and mention this article and we can discuss your options.
To your family’s health, wealth and happiness!
