Funding Coordinator

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Funding Coordinator is to support the legal team by properly funding a new client’s estate plan in a timely and efficient manner. The Funding Coordinator will establish relationships with our clients to expedite the funding of their Trust, and assure clients we are here for them.  The Funding Coordinator will do what it takes to provide exceptional customer service.

Reporting Relationship

The Funding Coordinator performs their work under the direction of the Owner or other attorneys to whom they may be assigned.  The Funding Coordinator’s employment relationship with the Firm is managed by the Owner/Managing Partner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients and financial institutions, building relationships by phone, email, and in person, 
  • Connect with clients, gather information regarding financial accounts, follow up with clients by email and phone to share and collect documents and information. 
  • Connect with client’s financial institutions and advisors to ensure accounts are being properly funded into their Trust accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and review client’s assets and properly fund them to their Trust by creating necessary financial institution forms and document packages for clients.
  • Prepare funding documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Communicate with outside contractors and financial institutions to ensure that planning deadlines are met.
  • Update and create checklists for Standard Operating Procedures as work evolves.
  • Create and update reports for weekly, monthly and quarterly staff meetings.
  • Participate in weekly team huddle with Owners and staff
  • Participate in Weekly WIP meetings with Owner and Attorneys.

Education & Experience

The Funding Coordinator should have an educational background at the bachelor’s degree level and/or work experience within a financial setting.

At least 1 year of experience in a professional setting.

Knowledge in funding, Trust work or experience working with financial documents is a plus.

Experience communicating with people in a professional environment and have the ability to establish connections with our clients, and to do whatever it takes to provide the excellent service they deserve.

The Funding Coordinator should be a quick learner, and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.  They should have a strong ability to organize and multi-task.

Experienced in technology, including Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Clio.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
